Google Has a New “Disavow” Tool!
Written November 1st, 2012 by TheNerdBlurb Staff

That’s right folks, you heard it correctly. Google has a brand new “Disavow” tool that will let you “negate” or “get rid of back-links” (in the eyes of Google that is) that you feel may be HARMING your page rank/online credibility. This has been a long time concern for me and I’m happy to see Google finally hoping on the “bandwagon” so to speak – and getting this sucker setup! Most clients who come to me for SEO support and Organic growth building want to have the highest page rank out there and show up 1st or 2nd in there market on most of the top keyword terms… Well in order to accomplish this you must have some pretty good online credibility as well as some great dynamic content, but not my emphasis on “online credibility and page rank” that’s really the controlling factor. I mean why do you think when you do a Google search for a Person, Place, Thing, you somehow always manage to grab Wikipedia.org – accident? I think not, it’s because they have a HIGH PR (Page Rank) meaning they have fantastic online credibility and the content to back it all up. So this is why when many clients come to me they usually have a junk load of back-links that I really don’t care for that are from websites that have absolutely nothing to do with there niche/industry – I remove them completely… And the best sites to hit would be directory sites first and foremost, and remember you can read our 2012 list of top online business directories by clicking here of on the reference links below. The second best group of sites would be niche/industry blogs/directories/forums/article sites… Don’t forget to do PR (Press Releases) regularly, I will do an article about this topic soon and the top vendors that we recommend.
